American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

ASHA is the national professional, scientific, and credentialing association for 186,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists; speech-language pathologists; speech, language, and hearing scientists; audiology and speech-language pathology support personnel; and students. Audiologists specialize in preventing and assessing hearing and balance disorders as well as providing audiologic treatment, including hearing aids. Speech-language pathologists identify, assess, and treat speech and language problems, including swallowing disorders. 


Developmental Language Disorder

Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a disorder that makes using and understanding language difficult. DLD can present problems across many aspects of life including school, work, and socialization.

DLDandMe is a volunteer organization created to enhance understanding of developmental language disorder (DLD) and to offer support and resources for people impacted by DLD. We also offers brief posts summarizing current evidence a on DLD.

LD OnLine seeks to help children and adults reach their full potential by providing accurate and up-to-date information and advice about learning disabilities and ADHD. The site features hundreds of helpful articles, multimedia, monthly columns by noted experts, first person essays, children’s writing and artwork, a comprehensive resource guide, very active forums, and a Yellow Pages referral directory of professionals, schools, and products.
