Comprehensive Evaluations
Understanding your student’s strengths and areas of difficulty is an important first step in addressing speech, language, reading, and learning needs. A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation provides a clear picture of your child’s current skills and helps identify areas that may require additional support.
Our evaluations are individualized to each student and use a combination of standardized assessments, non standardized assessments and clinical observation. Results help us determine whether therapy or other support is recommended and provide guidance for supporting your child at home, at school, and in everyday communication and learning.

Dyslexia Therapy
Dyslexia affects 1 in 5 individuals and is the most common reason a bright student will struggle with literacy. Dyslexia therapy is highly specialized, requires extensive training, and emphasizes all elements and principles of the science of reading and structured literacy.
There are many ways to treat dyslexia, including a variety of programs rooted in Print-to-Speech and Speech-to-Print methodologies.
The program and/or approach best suited for your child depends on their evaluation/strengths & weaknesses. NOT ALL PROGRAMS are equal and work across the board for every individual.
Dyslexia programs alone are typically not robust enough to address an accompanying developmental language delay, and will likely require the expertise of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Reading, Writing, & Spelling
Lexicon employs unique and evidence based approaches to address reading, writing, and spelling (including dysgraphia) needs in all types of learners whether they have a diagnosis or not. This service may be appropriate for someone who still struggles after participating in school intervention, other tutoring, or has already been through a dyslexia remediation program with poor results.
